Building Together: Capacity Strengthening for Landscape Governance and Management
Practical Lessons from 1000 Landscapes
Over the past five years, 1000 Landscapes partners have developed and tested approaches, tools and learning resources to strengthen landscape governance. As the Governance Capacity Working Group enters its next phase, this interactive partner workshop will bring those experiences together to help shape future priorities.
Participants will reflect on lessons learned, exchange experiences and contribute to the publication in development, Practical Lessons from 1000 Landscapes.
Together, participants will:
- Discuss initial findings and contribute insights to the draft publication.
- Explore how the Working Group is evolving and welcoming new partners and perspectives.
- Share experiences, priorities, needs and opportunities for the next phase of capacity strengthening.
Designed as a collaborative working session, the 60-minute workshop will include facilitated small-group discussions in English, Spanish and French. Participants’ contributions will inform revisions to the publication and help shape the Working Group’s future direction.

Representatives of 1000 Landscapes Governance Capacity Working Group. This workshop is not open to the general public.
