COP 28 Event: Reshaping Our Food Systems: Landscape Transformation for People, Nature, and Climate
Landscapes that have healthy people, environment, economy, and social cohesion improve the resilience of communities and food systems to the impacts of climate change and offer huge environmental, social, and economic returns. But what does it take for landscapes to successfully shift to a trajectory of regeneration, including regenerative food systems? How can we fairly distribute the costs and benefits of these transitions and what role do policymakers, and philanthropic and corporate funders play in enabling these transitions?
At this event, Regen10 and1000 Landscapes for 1 Billion people, with Commonland and EcoAgriculture Partners, share lessons and insights about the enabling conditions for landscape regeneration, the expected financial costs and benefits of these transitions, and the need for a common long-term vision and commitment at landscape level.
